Mortal Shell 2: How To Unlock Eredrim's Shell
Eredrim, The Venerable

Eredrim's shell is located inside the Citadel of Penance, guarded by a short mini-boss fight. Here's how to reach it without spending your Glimpse.

Shells are a core part of Mortal Shell 2's identity. Harbinger, the game's main character, can possess different shells found across the world and use their unique abilities in combat.

To unlock shell locations on the map, head to Zhirelle, the Shellkeeper at Marrow Keep, who can point you toward shells scattered across the world. Most can also be found organically through exploration alone. Doing so via Zhirelle costs Glimpse, a finite resource you'll want to save for shell upgrades. Proxima and Tiel are the exception, with their locations already marked on the map as soon as you arrive at Marrow Keep, so you don't need to spend any Glimpse to reveal them. You'll still need to go find and possess the shells yourself.

If you'd rather not spend the Glimpse on a map marker, here's where to find Eredrim's shell yourself.

Step 1: Make your way to the Citadel of Penance

There are a few possible ways to reach it, which we've covered in a separate guide.

Step 2: Reach the centre of the Citadel and take the lift

Once inside, make your way toward the centre of the Citadel. Drop down through the sections surrounding the circular structure and work your way around until you find the lift. Take it up, then walk out onto the central platform. As you approach the middle of it, the floor will give way beneath you, triggering a mini-boss fight. Defeating it lets you inhabit Eredrim's shell.
